Approved: Susanne Sundfør

Announced back in October, Susanne Sundfør will release ‘Ten Love Songs’, the follow-up to her 2012 album ‘The Silicone Veil’, on 16 Feb. We’ve told you this several times already, but I’m telling you again because I want to make sure you’re ready. It is a brilliant album. Album of the year, quite possibly. Yeah, I know it’s only January, but just trust me on this.
Following on from the new long player’s first single, ‘Fade Away’, comes ‘Delirious’, a track that sounds like Abba, if Abba were a dark electro act. Sundfør herself says of the song: “I wanted to write a cinematic song about love and power. It started off with just the beat and bass and as I developed it I added the strings and more and more vocal arrangements, until I felt the message was clear enough”.
Loud and clear. Get the message here:
You can and should catch Susanne Sundfør live at The Scala in London on 3 Mar.
