Imagem signs Circa Waves
By Chris Cooke | Published on Friday 7 March 2014
Independent music publisher Imagem has signed Liverpool-based four-piece Circa Waves to a worldwide deal. The band have already signed a record deal with Universal’s Virgin EMI.
Confirming the new signing, Imagem Music UK A&R Manager Sam Mumford told CMU: “Circa Waves are one of those one in generation bands that emerge – I know I speak for the whole of Imagem when I say how excited we are to be working with them. Without a doubt they are one of the most exciting guitar bands to emerge from the UK in a long time and they are at the forefront of the new wave of bands coming through for 2014. As songwriters and storytellers, they have that rare intrinsic ability to combine melody and lyrics in a way that grabs you on first listen and stays with you”.
Meanwhile Stefano Anselmetti for the band’s management Prolifica added: “We are extremely excited at the prospect of working with Imagem. The determination shown by Kim [Frankiewicz], Sam and Jess [Hamilton] and all their team in securing the bands signature was incredible. They have a wonderful and very focused roster of artists and we are proud to be part of it. They will no doubt play a significant part in the bands career”.
