Warner/Chappell has announced that it has signed a new worldwide deal with songwriter and producer Jay Joyce’s Neon Cross publishing company. As well as co-signing new artists, the two companies will also manage Joyce’s own repertoire. Neon Cross has also announced the appointment of former Capitol Records Nashville A&R Melissa Spillman as Director Of Publishing.
Joyce said of the Warner/Chappell alliance: “I am thrilled to team up with such a storied and progressive group, and am looking forward to a long prosperous journey together”.
EVP of Warner/Chappell Music Nashville, Ben Vaughn, added: “Wow – getting to work with Jay Joyce is a music lover’s dream come true. His talent cuts across all genres of music and he is the definition of a music innovator. It’s a real honour to welcome Jay and Melissa into the family”.
Joyce produced the most recent Cage The Elephant album, which went to number one in the US, and has also worked as a musician with various artists, including Iggy Pop.
