Robbie Williams has no time for Take That (at the moment)
By Aly Barchi | Published on Thursday 1 May 2014
So at the top of the year, Take That (the teachers) gave Robbie Williams (the naughty schoolboy) a ‘hand-in date’ to officially confirm – or otherwise – his involvement in the band’s new LP and live activity. And his answer, which came earlier this week, was and is a firm, logistics and baby-based ‘no’.
Getting real re the practicalities of his playing a part in the TBA album and tour, Robbo, who is soon to be a dad again, thanks mainly to his wife, Ayda Field, said via The Sun: “Logistically, I can’t do it. I have the [‘Swings Both Ways’] tour and I’m going to be a dad again”.
See? He’s going to be a dad again. Which isn’t to say Williams is leaving the Bank Of Take That for good. Because look, this is what Williams later added: “It doesn’t mean to say I won’t join in along the way. Whatever happens, I am absolutely going to be in Take That – I love being in Take That”.
‘Swings Both Ways’, is it? Apt.
