Lewis Hamilton keeps Nicole Scherzinger in the pits by recording his own music

Formula 1 driver Lewis Hamilton has begun recording music after building a home studio for girlfriend Nicole Scherzinger “so she didn’t have to leave the house to go back to LA” to do music making things. But best of all, she’s seemingly not able to get in there to record anything because he keeps using it himself. And he’s refusing to play any of his tracks to anyone. So we get no music from either of them. It’s a win-win situation, as far as I can see.
“I have been writing a lot, even on race weeks”, he told BBC Newsbeat. “It’s something I’m very passionate about. It keeps me chilled and doing things you love is a good thing. When I was in Japan, I was in the studio, Monday to Wednesday. Then, Thursday to Sunday, I was racing. Then I was straight back in the studio. At the moment music is just a hobby, but I’m very serious about it”.
His influences apparently include Michael Jackson, Prince, Jay-Z and… Kodaline.
