CMU Insights at music conferences this February
By CMU Editorial | Published on Monday 20 January 2020
The CMU Insights team will be in attendance at three music conferences next month presenting speed briefings on our streaming, distribution and education research work.
At the AIM Connected conference in London (4 Feb), CMU’s Chris Cooke will present a speed briefing on ‘Distribution Revolution’ as part of the workshop programme, providing a very speedy overview of the report he wrote for AIM exploring the changing role of the music distributor in the streaming age.
At MENT in Ljubljana (6 Feb) the research under the spotlight will be MMF UK’s ‘Dissecting The Digital Dollar’, with an easy-to-follow guide to how the streaming services are licensed by the music industry, and how royalties are calculated each month.
And finally, at Output in Belfast (13 Feb), ‘Distribution Revolution’ will also get an airing, with AIM’s Paul Pacifico joining Cooke to discuss the findings. Plus CMU’s Phil Nelson will present our working mapping music careers and local music industries, including the Northern Irish music industry.
