Ting Tings announce new single
By CMU Editorial | Published on Thursday 12 August 2010
If I’m honest, this week hasn’t been easy. And, frankly, the last thing I needed to be told was that The Ting Tings will be releasing a new single soon. But that’s exactly what’s happened, so you might as well share in the misery, too.
The Ting Tings will release a new single called ‘Hands’ on 11 Oct via Sony and Columbia and Deconstruction (which are, of course, basically the same thing). I’m informed it’s been mixed by labelmate Calvin Harris, which I believe is supposed to make me feel better about the whole thing.
The entire album – oh yeah, there’s a fucking album as well – was recorded in Berlin. The blokey, drummy one, Jules De Martino said this: “Our time in Berlin was a fresh start, with no rules again. When you’ve had an album that’s been successful, the danger is you go back in the studio, look back and try and emulate it’.
Annoying shouty woman Katie White added pointlessly: “It’d be so lazy and easy to make the same album twice”.
Don’t worry about me. Run! Save yourselves!
