Cobain songs rejected by Ren & Stimpy

No wonder Kurt Cobain was depressed, it turns out the makers of classic 90s cartoon ‘The Ren & Stimpy Show’ rejected a song he wrote especially for the programme. Or so claims Billy West, the voice of Stimpy.
According to the NME, West told the Nerdist podcast: “One day, this scraggly kid came in and said he wanted to write a song for ‘Ren & Stimpy’, and it was Kurt Cobain. They said, ‘Yeah, that’s great’, and they threw it in the wastebasket”. To be fair, it is hard to write a song more perfect than ‘Happy Happy Joy Joy’.
