Chart update – w/c 31 May 2010
By CMU Editorial | Published on Tuesday 1 June 2010
Dizzee Rascal is back atop the singles chart, he pushing that BOB fella into second place with his ‘Dirtee Disco’. Following at three is another new entry, Iyaz with ‘Solo’, while Jason Derulo is at four with ‘Ridin Solo’ and Eminem is new at five with ‘Not Afraid’, making for a rather urban top five this week.
Actually, the whole top ten (and, for that matter, the whole top forty) is rather urban sounding, with N-Dubz getting the next new entry at number six with ‘We Dance On’. Other new entries this week come from K’Naan with ‘Wavin Flag’ at sixreen, Danielle Hope with ‘Over The Rainbow’ at 29 and the Glee cast with ‘I Dreamed A Dream’ at 36.
In the album charts, Pendulum get their first number one album, going straight in at the top with ‘Immersion’, while the Glee cast follow with a new entry at three, and Katie Melua is straight in with ‘The House’ at four. Stornoway are new at fourteen with ‘Beachcomber’s Windowsill’, while a Billy Joel best of goes in at seventeen, and that’s your lot, people.
The Official Charts Company compile the charts. And anyone who says otherwise is just a big fat liar.
