Polyphonic Spree back with new LP? Yes, it’s true
By Aly Barchi | Published on Friday 1 March 2013
The 22-strong Polyphonic Spree have kindly shared the title of their first LP since 2007’s ‘The Fragile Army’. Yes, it’s true. ‘But what’s the title?’, you ask. Well, that was it… yes, it’s true. Anyway, I’ll stop this nonsense and just say that The Polyphonic Spree’s new LP, ‘Yes, It’s True’ will have its release day on 27 May.
The Spree’s Tim DeLaughter gives it this billing: “The songs here are from many different periods in the last few years. This record feels like a collection of ‘songs’ rather than a long listening piece which we’ve done previously in the Spree stylistically. It’s kind of refreshing”.
Have a bracing play of the new record’s first track, ‘You Don’t Know Me’, and a tracklisting:
