Essential signs deal with Week Of Wonders
By Chris Cooke | Published on Friday 5 April 2013
Essential Music & Marketing has announced a global product management deal with East London independent label and management firm Week Of Wonders, the company led by Karen Tillotson, which works with the likes of Stevie Neale, Sega Bodega, GREATWAVES and Gentlemen. Under the deal, Essential will provide manufacturing, marketing, distribution, sync and licensing services.
Confirming the deal, Essential’s Steve Crane, told CMU: “It’s exciting to be working with Karen and WoW. The roster is incredible and the music coming through will blow people away. It’s a great fit for Essential and hopefully the start of another long and successful working relationship with a dynamic and forward-thinking artist management company and label”.
Meanwhile Tillotson added: “For us, it’s all about believing in someone, having a vision and sticking with them until they break – and knowing that they will. It’s time well spent building up a fanbase rather than getting an elusive deal with a major and thinking you’ve made it when you haven’t. Our deal with Essential lets us continue along that path”.
