Vice thumps down new dance music channel
By Andy Malt | Published on Thursday 18 April 2013
Vice has launched a new electronic music channel, in partnership with Recreation Worldwide, called Thump. Focused on documenting “every aspect of the global dance music movement”, the set up is similar to Vice’s Intel partnership The Creators Project, and its more general music channel Noisey (not to mention its tech and mixed martial arts offerings).
The blurb for the new site explains: “Through original videos from the most electrifying events around the globe, to weekly music video premieres, mixes from the most forward-thinking DJs, and an engaging slate of editorial and blog features, Thump offers a unique portal into the culture of electronic music”.
