Roadrunner founder launches new company, signs pop act
By Chris Cooke | Published on Wednesday 10 July 2013
The founder of Roadrunner Records, Cees Wessels, eased out of the now Warner-owned rock label last year, has resurfaced with a new music company called Robot Of The Century Music (or, technically, a re-energised version of the publishing business he originally set up as a Roadrunner spin-off).
And, moving away from the metal-bias of his original label, the new firm’s first signing is a pop act called Ashley Allen. Her first single is called ‘Let’s Go’. And that’s all we know so far.
