Record shop discovery could lead to more Savile-related arrests

The criminal investigation into the crimes of the late Jimmy Savile has discovered a list of names scribbled on a wall in Manchester which is believed to record some of the victims of the shamed DJ.
According to the Mirror, the list potentially extends further the number of victims that suffered sexual abuse at the hands of Savile, and may provide evidence against a number of other celebrities, many still alive, who were also allegedly involved in abusing young girls. The list was written on a wall in a room above a record shop in Greater Manchester. Police seemingly discovered it after a tip off; the incriminating words having been hidden behind plaster and wallpaper.
Criminologist Professor David Wilson from Birmingham City University told the tabloid that the list suggested that the room was occupied by a paedophile ring who used the wall to document their crimes, basically as a way of boasting about the abuse they committed, in a way that today would occur online. The location, above a record shop, is also likely significant, Wilson said, as in the 1980s and 1990s a record store would attract a large number of young people.
Numerous men have been arrested since formal allegations about Savile’s conduct were made public last year; some former Savile allies directly linked to his crimes, others who seemingly acted independently, and others of Savile’s era also accused of past inappropriate behaviour, but not against minors.
