Lana Del Rey’s Tropico is a ‘farewell’
By Aly Barchi | Published on Tuesday 20 August 2013
It looks as if Lana Del Rey may leave that singing/fame lark behind and ‘retire’ after her new mini-film ‘Tropico’ is released. We think this because LDR said it was her “farewell project” last week, adding via Twitter: “I adore you and thank you for inspiring me. TROPICO”.
The 30 minute film which, given that tweet’s air of finality, may be your last chance to appreciate Lana’s ‘art’, is set to have premieres, said Del Rey last week, in NYC and Hollywood Forever Cemetery (dates still TBC).
Saying that, she might just mean ‘Tropico’ is a ‘farewell’ before she goes off and records another album. Oh, the suspense.
