Sam Smith discusses working with Nile Rodgers and Disclosure
By Andy Malt | Published on Friday 20 September 2013
Singer Sam Smith has been chatting with Clash about recent studio sessions he was involved in with Disclosure and Nile Rodgers.
Rodgers tweeted about his Disclosure tie up earlier this week, saying: “Gonna sleep from seven to nine, then another KICK A$$ session with Disclosure. They are the REAL F-ing DEAL. I’ve had some great collabos this year”.
Smith, who guested on Disclosure track ‘Latch’, was also there, and explained: “It was really mad! We had our first session on Tuesday. It’s been in the diary for a couple of weeks, so I’ve been freaking out and we didn’t tell anyone [but] then he was tweeting about it anyway”.
He added: “But really he just played his guitar and we just sat there dribbling in happiness. He was just playing all these classics on his guitar and it was truly special to be with a musician that is such an expert at what he does”.
