The Kinks’ Muswell Hillbillies re-issue to include unreleased music
By Aly Barchi | Published on Tuesday 24 September 2013
A deluxe, two-disc reissue of The Kinks’ 1971 LP ‘Muswell Hillbillies’ will include a number of previously unreleased tracks, it’s been announced, plus instrumentals, demos and collected excerpts from 1970s BBC sessions with John Peel. And the original tracklisting, obviously.
The new songs include ‘Lavender Hill’, ‘Mountain Woman’, ‘Kentucky Moon’ and ‘Queenie’, whilst an early recording of ‘Nobody’s Fool’ is also included.
