Fiddy to release two albums
By CMU Editorial | Published on Wednesday 18 March 2009
The trend for cobbling together all your studio outtakes in order to bury any good tracks you might have recorded and then releasing it all as two albums is back. Eminem, U2, Patrick Wolf and Prince are amongst the artists planning one too many album releases this year. And now 50 Cent has announced that he is, too.
Fiddy told MTV News: “The new announcement is that I’m dropping two albums. I’ve had an opportunity to record since I thought I was releasing an album in December. But the portion of my record that I recorded with Dr Dre was incomplete, because there was no opportunity to mix it. The only song that was mixed that I worked on with Dr Dre is ‘I Get It In’ – that one is out now. It’s cool, but I need the rest of them to be mixed before I can present my project to the public”.
The first of the albums, ‘Before I Self Destruct’, will be released in June. Before that, the rapper will be touring the US with floppy emo types Fall Out Boy.
