4AD announces promotions and LA office launch
By CMU Editorial | Published on Wednesday 2 May 2012
4AD has had a bit of a reshuffle of its staff with former Head Of Communications Rich Walker moving into the role of General Manager of the label, while former Press Officer Annette Lee is now Head Of Press. Over in the A&R department, Ed Horrox is now A&R and Creative Director, whilst Jane Abernethy becomes A&R Manager.
In the US, overall label boss Simon Halliday is now officially based out of the company’s New York office with a view to strengthening the Beggars label’s North American profile, while Ben Gaffin, who recently joined the company from Warner Music, will head up a new LA office.
Speaking about the changes to the legendary label, which is currently enjoying success with artists such as Bon Iver, Grimes and St Vincent, Halliday told CMU: “We have had four very good years at 4AD and we want to ensure continued and increased growth by making some slight changes to our UK structure. This will allow our artists to reach greater heights in the coming years”.
