By CMU Editorial | Published on Tuesday 6 December 2011
Animal Collective’s Avey Tare has revealed that the band have begun work on the follow-up to their 2009 album ‘Merriweather Post Pavillion’ in Tare’s hometown of Baltimore, with plans to begin recording in January. He told 77 Square: “We just finished another two weeks of writing sessions and put together five new songs. We’re really excited about this record … and it’s been really fun jamming with those guys again”.
The band are also due to play at the Merriweather Post Pavilion venue in Baltimore (I’ve heard that name somewhere before) this Saturday, where they will be debuting some of the new songs, according to The Baltimore Sun.
