Best known for his lo-fi indie project Fog, Andrew Broder has returned under his own name with a piece of nightmarish techno titled ‘Arpeggehater’. The track is taken from a forthcoming EP, ‘Wertheimer’, which will be released through Lex Records on 28 Oct.

“The ‘Wertheimer’ EP is a result of digging deeper into electronic music over the last couple of years and learning my way around Ableton”, explains Broder. “I wanted this material to be the ugly, aggressive cousin to my work as Fog, which is song based and melodic – I wanted it to make me wrinkle my face and feel mean. It’s fun”.

If you fancy a bit of Fog in your life again, you can catch Broder in that guise supporting Poliça on their European tour this month. UK and Ireland dates are scheduled between 14 Oct and 22 Oct. But right now, listen to ‘Arpeggehater’ here:
