Club Tip CMU Approved
Approved: Brick Lane Music Festival
By Paul Vig | Published on Friday 14 September 2012
Needless to say, The Vibe Bar on East London’s Brick Lane plays a big role in the fifth Brick Lane Music Festival which takes place this weekend.
Sunday is the day I’m particularly looking forward to, as it will see reggae master Mr David Rodigan (does he need any introduction?) appear alongside The Heatwave, The Magic House Experience and Rose Windross. Also on hand will be Ed Word (Boogie Nights) and wave maker Loefah (Swamp 81) followed by Klose One from Staunch, Chunky and Donaeo.
Rodigan’s Ram Jam will feature on the Courtyard Stage, and the Staunch crew take control of the main bar. A proper dub and reggae daytime session. It should be ace, and there will be other moves and grooves on at Cafe1001 and the Big Chill Cafe, an actual stones throw away.
Sunday 16 Sep, Vibe Bar, Old Truman Brewery, Brick Lane, London, E1, Midday-11pm, £1 Charity donation to NSPCC, more info from www.vibe-bar.co.uk
