Adding to a slowly growing catalogue of highly inventive and experimental pop tracks, Tennin returns with her latest single, ‘Noises’.
The new tracks sees her team up again with producer Broken Shadow, with whom she worked on last year’s ‘Dichotomie’. The track also has a sonic connection to the more recent ‘Bring Me Some Peace’, in that it makes good use of a manipulated vocal loop. ‘Noises’, however, is more fully realised than both of those tracks, and really shows off what Tennin has to offer better than ever before.
Building rapidly shifting vocal patterns over the track’s slow-paced beats, she imbues it with a real sense of drama within a relatively sparse arrangement. There must be more where this came from and I’m excited to hear it.
