Club Tip CMU Approved
Approved: Vigsy’s Easter Club Tips
By Paul Vig | Published on Thursday 2 April 2015
It’s the Easter holidays, which means extra opportunities for great nights out. Here are three club tips for the long weekend.
Swamp 81 at Corsica Studios
Swamp 81 returns to Corsica Studios, with FaltyDL, Loefah, Paleman and others on the decks. Great venue and Falty DL is still definitely my man of the moment. His album last year was rather excellent – check out this little nod to jungle.
Friday 3 Apr. Corsica Studios, 4/5 Elephant Road, Elephant & Castle, London, SE17 1LB, 10pm – 6am, £20. More info here.
UKG Fest at The Coronet
What a huge, almost incomprehensible line-up, just too many to mention and some massive live PAs. UKG Fest splits over 500 artists, including 42 live PAs, over eight rooms and 30 hours at this two day indoor event, celebrating over 21 years of UK garage music.
Friday 3 Apr and Saturday 4 Apr, Coronet Theatre, 28 New Kent Rd, Elephant & Castle, London, SE1 6TJ, 4pm – 7am, £50. More info here and here.
Groove Odyssey at Ministry Of Sound
What a line-up here too: Louis Vega, Atjazz, Phil Asher, Bobby & Steve and CJ Mackintosh all at Ministry for more of the smart house-leaning sounds that Groove Odyssey specialise in. Truly world class stuff.
Sunday 4 Apr, Ministry Of Sound, 103 Gaunt Street, Elephant & Castle, SE1 6DP, 10pm – 6am, £15-20. More info here.
