Boiler Room confirms live collaboration with V&A
By Aly Barchi | Published on Wednesday 15 January 2014
Similar to Warp Records’ collaboration with Tate Britain late last year, live/online sonic hothouse the Boiler Room will, on 31 Jan, take over the Victoria & Albert Museum in London as part of the V&A’s Friday Lates series.
The free-entry event, titled Sound It Out, will feature still-TBA DJ and live sets taking place in secret spaces at the V&A, and various installations looking at music’s relationship to technology, and vice versa, not least a performance by specialist synth shop London Modular featuring Hemlock Recordings boss Jack Dunning, and talks by sociologist Laurie Waller and sonic artists Tom Richards and Fiorenzo Palermo.
