Business News Digital launches iOS app

Having raised $2 million in funding earlier this year, free-to-use music discovery and playlisting service has launched an iOS app.

As previously reported, provides music recommendations and allows users to create playlists with music sourced from multiple platforms. The user hits play on a playlist, and it serves up all the tracks from the best sources available. The desktop version, launched a year ago, features integration with YouTube, SoundCloud, Spotify, Rdio, Deezer, Rhapsody, XBox Music and Beats Music.

At launch, the iOS app only sources music from YouTube, SoundCloud and Spotify – and for the latter the user must also have a premium account with the streaming service, due to restrictions that exist on mobile usage of the Spotify system.

Says co-founder Shehzad Daredia: “Although has unified the experience of music streaming through its web platform, users today can now create their own universal playlists straight from their iOS device, and search for awesome playlists curated for by major artists like Tiesto, Lil Wayne, Keith Urban, Depeche Mode, and more”.
