The CMU team will be in Manchester and Cardiff this week running sessions for early career artists and each city’s local music community.

Tomorrow, CMU:DIY teams up with the Featured Artists Coalition and the English Folk Expo to present the latest Artist:Entrepreneur Day in Manchester. Artist entrepreneurs Roxanne de Bastion, Thom Moorecroft and Lauren Ray will lead the proceedings, joined by CMU’s Chris Cooke and a team of music industry experts. Then, at the end of the day, folk artist and FAC board member Sam Lee will join the conversation to talk about his career in music to date.

Full info about the day is available here.

Meanwhile, in Cardiff tomorrow CMU’s Sam Taylor and Phil Nelson will present a series of CMU:DIY workshops at the University Of South Wales as part of the Sŵn Festival’s programme of talks and debates. Then on Friday the CMU team will present a series of conversations and discussions, also as part of the Sŵn daytime programme, including an introduction to CMU’s new Pathways Into Music book.
