Pivotal

Birmingham’s Pivotal music conference will return this September for its second edition. This week organisers began announcing details about the programme, which will take place across a series of partner-led houses set up in the city’s Jewellery Quarter. That will include CMU House, presented by CMU Insights and CMU:DIY.

At the heart of the CMU House programme will be a speed briefing on the ‘Fan Data Guide’ compiled by CMU and published by the Music Managers Forum earlier this year.

The speed briefing will be followed by a series of practical workshops explaining how artists and their business partners can use fan data to better plan their marketing campaigns and social activity, and then build a direct-to-fan business.

Other houses at Pivotal will see AWAL team up with the Featured Artists Coalition and the Music Producers Guild with Giraffe Audio. Meanwhile, Pivotal itself will host one of the houses in partnership with the Association Of Independent Music. Panels, discussions, workshops and networking will be the order of the day, followed by a series of artist showcases in the evening.

This all takes place on 27 Sep – for full information and tickets click here.
