• Universal Music Publishing has signed a new deal with Post Malone. “Post Malone is so imaginative and an original”, said UMPG CEO Jody Gerson.
• Emeli Sandé has announced that her management company Jupiter Management has agreed a new partnership with Roc Nation. Having separated from her long time manager Adrian Sykes at Decisive, Sandé is now represented at Jupiter by her former assistant Ruth Titmarsh.
• Tidal has announced Jeff Toig as its new CEO. He has previously worked for SoundCloud and Muve Music. He is the third CEO for Jay-Z’s streaming service this year. How long will he last? Stay tuned.
• Glassjaw have released the first track form their upcoming new album. Here’s ‘New White Extremity’.
• DJ Flugvél & Geimskip has released a new video for her track ‘Á Túndrunni’. Her new album, ‘Nótt á Hafsbotni’, is out on 4 Dec.
• Boots will play his debut UK show at XOYO on 4 Dec. Here’s his latest single ‘CURE’.
• Multi-media festival Convergence will be returning to various venues in London on 10-20 Mar next year. Among the first musical acts to be announced are Actress, Of Montreal, Lamb, The Gaslamp Killer, !!!, Darkstar, and Omar Souleyman. More info here.
• Morrissey has won this year’s Bad Sex In Fiction Award for his debut novel ‘List Of The Lost’. The singer did not attend the ceremony in London to collect his prize.
