Departures at Tidal and Roc Nation
By Chris Cooke | Published on Tuesday 4 August 2015
Following the departure of Tidal’s interim CEO Peter Tonstad in June, less than three months after taking on the job at the Jay-Z led streaming platform, it’s now emerged that the company’s SVP Of Artist & Label Relations Zena Burns also departed that month, after just two months with the company.
So, you can’t say things don’t move fast at the troubled artist-led streaming set-up. Former Activision Blizzard music exec Timothy Patrick Riley is now seemingly handling artist and label relationships there, having joined the firm in May.
According to Billboard, there have also been some executive departures at Jay-Z’s main company Roc Nation, where long-term EVP Of Strategic Marketing & Business Development Jennifer Justice and Chief Marketing Officer Jeff Geisler have reportedly left the building.
Still, I’m sure Tidal shareholders Madonna and Deadmau5 can cover while replacements are found.
