The Association For Electronic Music, which launched at MIDEM earlier this year, has confirmed the members of its 51-strong advisory board, which includes most of the big names of the global EDM community.

Full information of the board has been published as the new trade group meets at the International Music Summit in Ibiza. Additions to the board since January include Ed Banger Records’ Pedro Winter, Ministry of Sound’s Lohan Presencer, K7’s Horst Weidenmuller, Defected’s Simon Dunmore and Avicii manager Ash Pournouri.

Commenting on developments since AFEM launched at the start of the year, co-founder Ben Turner told CMU yesterday: “We set out with the objective of creating an inclusive organisation with the objective of being a worldwide voice for electronic dance music. The response so far has confirmed our view that the time is right for dance music to assert its voice. The energy and passion of our advisory board is clear. It is striking to see so many people who ordinarily are fierce rivals joining together to fight for the music they love”.
