Live Review: Ellie Goulding at The Great Escape 2010 on 14 May
By CMU Editorial | Published on Tuesday 18 May 2010
Taking the large crowd in her stride, Ellie Goulding’s confidence made her stage presence magnetic and hugely involving. Singing her hit single ‘Starry Eyed’ and the fantastically gentle ‘Your Biggest Mistake’, she showed that she is much more than a one trick pony. Although the performance was completely sold to the crowd, at times Goulding seemed bored and somewhat disinterested in the music she sang. That said, when given the chance to passionately play percussion or pick up the guitar, the singer radiated warmth and commitment, and made it known that she was a talented all-round musician. An easily enjoyable performance. JTP
