Emmylou Harris fined for hit and run incident
By Aly Barchi | Published on Monday 11 November 2013
Country singer-songwriter Emmylou Harris has been ordered to pay $5000 to the victim of a hit and run incident she was involved in last year, reports TMZ, seeing off a possible six month jail sentence.
Harris is alleged to have hit a car on an LA motorway back in October 2012, and then driven off, her pretty flimsy defence being that she didn’t notice she’d struck the vehicle.
Facing allegations of hit and run, as part of a plea deal Harris pled no contest to the lesser crime of failing to provide the other driver with insurance info at the scene.
