Epic US chief to step down
By CMU Editorial | Published on Wednesday 10 December 2008
The President of Sony’s Epic US division, Charlie Walk, is expected to leave the major at the end of the month.
It’s thought he has some TV projects in the pipeline. According to Billboard, Walk’s departure will be followed by a bit of downsizing at the Sony division, with A&R and plugging staff expected to be cut.
The slimming of Epic comes amid reports that Sony Music is planning a few other efficiencies elsewhere across the group.
