Future Publishing has announced the promotion of Declan Gough to Head Of Content & Marketing for all of its film, games and music titles. Having joined the company in 2012, he has previously overseen the company’s creative and design titles, as well as gaming brand Edge.
Although Future sold its highest profile music mags like Metal Hammer and Classic Rock, it still has a number of publications aimed at music makers, including print titles Guitarist, Guitar Techniques, Total Guitar, Rhythm, Future Music, Computer Music, as well as the MusicRadar website and Producer Sessions events.
Gough said in a statement: “I’m thrilled to be taking on Future’s music portfolio with world leading brands like MusicRadar, Guitarist and Computer Music. I’m looking forward to taking them to a new level in the market place in the UK and internationally”.
The company’s Content & Marketing Director Nial Ferguson added: “This is a hugely important and exciting role as we look to strengthen our leading positions within these markets. Declan has introduced several new successful initiatives during his time on the Creative & Design portfolio, from launching new events, new digital properties and relaunching several magazines. I fully expect to see similar innovation within the music, film and games portfolios”.
