And Finally
Gavin Rossdale admits Marilyn affair, finally

Bush frontman and Gwen Stefani’s other half, Gavin Rossdale, has confirmed long running rumours that he and 80s pop type Marilyn were formerly lovers, despite previously denying that was the case.
The claim that Gavin and Marilyn were once an item was originally made by Boy George in his 1995 book ‘Take It Like A Man’, but at the time both men denied it, with Rossdale subsequently telling reporters: “I wasn’t dating Marilyn. We were, and still are, good friends. George thinks everyone is gay”. However, in an interview with In Touch magazine last year, Marilyn said: “Gavin and Gwen are perfect for each other, but he was the love of my life. He was just becoming successful in America, [so] I agreed to lie against every grain of my being [about our relationship, but] we were together five years”.
Now Rossdale too has admitted he did indeed have a romantic relationship with Marilyn, though seems to play down how serious it was. He’s told Details magazine: “That was right at the beginning of Bush. I’ve never wanted to appear closed about it. It’s not something I’ve talked about really because it’s always been in the glare of a tabloid world. It’s just one of those things, move on. When you’re seventeen, Jesus Christ, I don’t think there’s anything strange about any form of anything – you’re learning about life. It’s a part of growing up. That’s it. No more, no less”.
