Help Musicians’ Business Accelerator in the North East of England
By CMU Editorial | Published on Wednesday 7 June 2023
Music charity Help Musicians has teamed up with CMU’s Pathways Into Music Foundation to deliver a Business Accelerator programme for music-makers based in the North East of England.
The Help Musicians’ Business Accelerator is a six-month programme, beginning in July, designed to provide musicians with the skills, knowledge and support they need to help take their music careers to the next level.
Over the course of six months, participating music-makers will learn from music industry mentors, access business skills sessions and networking opportunities, and receive £500 of financial support towards their music.
The Pathways Into Music Foundation exists to build connections between music education and the music industry, and to support early-career music-makers as they pursue their own pathways into music.
It undertakes research work mapping music careers, music education and the music industry, as well as helping deliver practical projects – such as this – that support educators and/or music-makers, while also further informing the mapping projects.
Any artists based in the North East of England who think they could benefit from the Business Accelerator programme should apply online by 12 Jun. Details about the application process and the application form are available here.
