Indie Label Cup charity five-a-side to take place this month
By Andy Malt | Published on Thursday 14 May 2015
A new five-a-side football tournament involving those rather decent indie label sorts, called The Indie Label Cup no less, will take place on 31 May raising funds for Crisis.
Already confirmed as taking part are Ninja Tune, 4AD, Hospital, Bella Union, Heavenly, R&S, Fabric and Domino.
There will be a limited number of spaces to watch the tournament on the day, with raffles featuring prizes from the labels taking part. Or you can just donate money to support Crisis’ work with homeless people, which of course you should.
Micky Walsh, Director of Client Services at Crisis, told CMU: “Over 6000 people took advantage of our housing, health, education and employment services last year to help them leave homelessness behind for good. Without the support of our donors we would not be able to work on such a scale – the money raised by the Indie Label Cup will help us make a big difference to the lives of homeless people across the UK”.
