IP quango shut down
By CMU Editorial | Published on Wednesday 21 July 2010
The Department For Business, Innovation And Skills has shut down its Strategic Advisory Board For Intellectual Property Policy, a quango set up in 2008 to advise government on, well, IP issues, obviously.
The Board tried to equally represent the interests of IP owners and IP users, which usually meant their recommendations failed to satisfy either side.
SABIP’s ongoing research projects will be taken on by the government’s Intellectual Property Office.
