Ivor Novello Awards awarded

The Ivor Novello Awards were handed out at a ceremony at Grosvenor House in London yesterday. As well as recognising the best in contemporary songwriting, Marc Almond was handed the Inspiration Award, while Justin Hayward received the Outstanding Achievement Award and Randy Newman Special International Award.
Oh, and Emeli Sandé was given PRS For Music’s Most Performed Work prize, along with her ‘Next To Me’ co-writers Hugo Chegwin, Harry Craze and Anup Paul. I mean, of course she was. The same song was also named Best Song Musically And Lyrically.
