Jay-Z’s champagne company reveals new $760 a bottle product line
By Chris Cooke | Published on Monday 17 August 2015
Here’s something we forgot to mention last week. Having fully sorted out the streaming music market, and having made Tidal pretty much the only music service the world needs, Jay Z has moved on to his next business venture: his first champagne line, a bottle of which costs a mere $760.
As with Tidal, Jay has entered the champagne game by buying an existing player. Actually, he bought it last year. The news is that that company has now announced details of a new product line, and the $760 per bottle price point. Which might seem hefty, but remember, this champagne has much better sound quality than industry standards, and is much more grape-friendly. Even the grape formerly known as Prince approves.
