Josh Freese offers haircut with new album
By CMU Editorial | Published on Wednesday 25 February 2009
Former Vandals, A Perfect Circle and Nine Inch Nails drummer Josh Freese has taken the idea of variable pricing and really run with it.
A number of artists have offered bonuses with their albums for a little extra cash, from simple signed CDs to living room gigs. Josh, however, is offering to wash your car, cut your hair, write a song about you, show you around his first apartment, join your band for a month or numerous other bizarre acts should you decide to pre-order his new album, ‘Since 1972’, which is out in March.
Obviously there has been much speculation about whether or not these offers are serious. Says Josh: “There’s been a lot of talk on the ol’ internet about what I’m doing and ‘if it’s real’ or if I’m ‘joking’. It is very much real and I am surely not joking. Buy one and see for yourself”.
