Kid Koala announces new album and tour
By CMU Editorial | Published on Monday 16 July 2012
Kid Koala has announced that he will release a new album, ’12 Bit Blues’, on 17 Sep via Ninja Tune. The album was created over three days using only an E-mu SP-1200 sampler, a piece of equipment the producer and DJ had coveted since his teens, and a multi-track recorder. You can download a free track from the album, ‘5 Bit Blues’, here.
Following the release, Kid Koala will be over in the UK with what he is billing as the ‘Vinyl Vaudeville Tour’. At the shows he promises music, puppets, dancing girls, robots, a giant cardboard turntable and parlour games. So, fun for all the family.
Here are the dates:
11 Oct: London, Islington Academy
12 Oct: Bristol, Fiddlers
13 Oct: Manchester, TBA
