Lauryn Hill refused UK entry, cancels London show
By Andy Malt | Published on Tuesday 14 July 2015
Lauryn Hill has cancelled a London show due to take place tomorrow after being refused entry into the UK.
In a statement on Facebook she broke the news to fans, saying: “I’ve been informed that I won’t be able to enter the UK for a period of time due to my past legal situation. For this reason I have to cancel my concert on 15 Jul. Know that I was looking forward to performing in London this summer, and that I appreciate all of my fans and supporters both in London, and throughout the UK. I look forward to seeing you again as soon as I’m able to”.
Hill was due to play Shepherds Bush Empire on Wednesday. She will now perform a show in St Tropez in France instead. So it sort of worked out quite nicely for her.
