Live Nation launches Ticketmaster Belgium

Live Nation last week announced it had taken full control of Belgium-based ticketing firm Ticketnet, previously a joint venture between the live giant’s France-based Ticketnet business and Belgian media firm Rossel. As a result of the deal the company will be rebranded under Live Nation’s main ticketing brand Ticketmaster.
Didier Decaestecker will become MD of Ticketmaster Belgium and oversee integration of the local business with the wider Ticketmaster network, plus will seek the grow the company in the region. He told reporters: “I’m thrilled to be joining Ticketmaster. I’m looking forward to leading a passionate team that will bring the very best in technology and service to ensure that Belgian fans have an even better live entertainment experience”.
Meanwhile Ticketmaster International boss Mark Yovich told CMU: “We are delighted to be launching in Belgium where there is huge potential for growth and a vibrant live entertainment and sports scene”.
