Meat Loaf “recovering well” after on stage collapse
By Andy Malt | Published on Monday 20 June 2016
Meat Loaf is recovering after collapsing on stage in Canada last week. In a statement, reps for the singer put the incident down to “severe dehydration”, adding that after a brief stay in hospital he is “recovering well”.
“Meat Loaf collapsed Thursday night due to severe dehydration near the end of his concert at the Northern Jubilee Auditorium in Edmonton, Alberta Canada”, said the statement. “He was admitted to a nearby hospital to undergo routine tests. His vital signs are stable and normal – additional tests are being performed but he is responsive and recovering well”.
On Monday last week, Meat Loaf cancelled a show in Calgary due to illness. Another show in Alberta the night following the musician’s collapse was also cancelled. His next scheduled performance is at the Enmax Centre in Lethbridge, Canada tomorrow night.
