Mercury promotions
By CMU Editorial | Published on Friday 16 July 2010
Universal UK’s Mercury Music Group division announced two promotions yesterday. Paul Adam, a senior A&R director for the division, will become MD of its Vertigo imprint, while A&R exec Jamie Nelson has been promoted to Director Of A&R.
Mercury President Jason Iley told CMU: “The Vertigo name is already back on the A&R map thanks to the success of Amy [Macdonald] and Razorlight, but I know Paul will lead the label to the next level as a distinct repertoire stream within the Mercury group. Jamie has tremendous drive and enthusiasm. He is an outstanding A&R executive and I am excited about what he can achieve in his new role”.
