Metropolis launches music publishing division
By Chris Cooke | Published on Friday 9 January 2015
Metropolis Studios is moving into music publishing with the creation of Metropolis Music Publishing, to be headed up by Rupert Hollier, formerly film sync man at Imagem.
Confirming the new strand to his company, which already provides production, mastering and artist services into addition to operating its West London recording studio complex, Metropolis CEO Ian Brenchley explained yesterday that “publishing was the final part of the transition of Metropolis into a full service music company”.
He went on: “Having worked with Ru on previous projects it seemed like the perfect fit when the opportunity came up to work together. As an executive across both the film and music landscapes, he really is without equal. We now have an unrivalled culture that spans music creation, recording, mixing, mastering, production and distribution”.
