Australian independent label Modular Recordings is opening a new London office, which will be headed up by Adam Brooks, who previously worked for Warp Records. Brooks will oversee the label’s UK and European operations from the new base.

Brooks told CMU: “I’m thrilled to be joining Modular at such an exciting time. Following the recent global successes of Tame Impala and the label’s inaugural FOR festival in Croatia, I look forward to further cementing the label’s status across Europe as a home for outstanding and diverse artists and events”.

Meanwhile Modular founder Stephen Pavlovic added: “We’re proud to welcome Adam Brooks to the Modular family. His work at Warp speaks for itself and we are excited to have him bring his knowledge and experience to the current Tame Impala release ‘Lonerism’, and forthcoming releases from Pond, Cut Copy and others”.

He continued: “We now have a very solid foundation from which to grow Modular’s UK and European presence, develop closer working relationships with our domestic partners, and bring future successes to the label and its artists”.
