Motörhead members explain absence from Lemmy’s funeral

Motörhead guitarists ‘Fast Eddie’ Clarke and Phil Campbell have explained why they were both unable to attend the funeral of frontman Lemmy, who died last month, which took place on Saturday in LA.
Campbell told fans via Twitter that he had been “advised on doctors orders not to fly on such a longhaul flight due to my recent hospitalisation”. Meanwhile, Clarke’s reasons for staying in England seemed appropriate for the occasion, saying on Facebook: “I was unable to get a visa to go to Lemmy’s funeral. I have past sins, which means it takes longer for me to get a visa and with being Christmas, there wasn’t enough time”.
Both men said that, like almost a quarter of a million others, they watched the service via the livestream on YouTube this weekend.
